Privacy Policy

Olivepress (“Olivepress,” “we,” “us”) is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. For privacy requests or questions, contact privacy@tryolivepress.com.

We collect information in three ways:

Information you provide. When you register, we store your email address and — for credentials sign-in — a hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email and profile identifier. If you purchase a paid plan, Stripe collects payment information on our behalf (we do not store full card numbers). If you submit feedback, we store your message and email.

Information generated by your use of the Service. We store the chats, messages, prompts, tool calls, charts, votes, and document drafts you create in the app so you can return to them. We also store session metadata, generation timestamps, and error traces.

Technical information. Like most web services, we log IP addresses, approximate region, browser and device information, and access timestamps for security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting. We use these signals to enforce per-IP and per-user request limits.

We use your information to:

• authenticate you and maintain your account;
• provide chat history, saved charts, and personalisation;
• generate answers by sending your prompts to AI models routed through Vercel AI Gateway;
• fetch market data from third-party providers to answer your questions;
• process payments and manage subscriptions through Stripe;
• detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access;
• diagnose errors, debug issues, and improve the Service;
• send transactional emails (account, billing, security) and, where permitted, product updates;
• comply with legal obligations.

We share personal information only with vendors that help us operate Olivepress. Each is bound by a data-processing agreement or equivalent:

• Vercel — hosting, edge delivery, and AI Gateway routing.
• Neon — Postgres database storage for users, chats, and messages.
• Upstash / Redis provider — optional caching, rate limiting, and resumable streams.
• Google — OAuth sign-in (if you choose it).
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
• AI model providers — Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and xAI models accessed via Vercel AI Gateway to generate responses.
• Tavily, Financial Modeling Prep, FRED, TradingView — market data, news, and chart rendering.
• Sentry — application error monitoring.
• Resend — transactional and feedback email delivery.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers.

When you ask Olivepress a question, your prompt and relevant context are sent to the selected AI model provider so it can generate a response. We use Vercel AI Gateway to route these requests. Model providers process your content to generate outputs and, under our contracts with them, do not use that content to train their foundation models. We retain your chat history in our database so you can return to it and so we can operate and debug the Service.

If you sign in with Google, we use your Google profile (email and user identifier) solely to create and authenticate your Olivepress account. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not allow humans to read it except where necessary for security, to comply with law, or with your explicit consent.

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as theme and selected model), and protect against abuse. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

We retain account and chat data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Error logs and security logs are retained for a shorter window consistent with operational needs. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal, tax, or billing obligations.

Traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS. Passwords are stored as salted hashes. Access to production systems is restricted and logged. No system is perfectly secure — if you believe your account has been compromised, email security@tryolivepress.com immediately.

Our vendors operate globally, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can manage most of your data directly in the app. For anything else, email privacy@tryolivepress.com and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Olivepress is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact privacy@tryolivepress.com and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
